BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by The Regional Municipality of York (the "Region") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Technical Peer Review Services for the North York-Durham Sewage System Expansion Phase 1, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the "Deliverables"). The primary objective of the Technical Peer Review Services is to ensure the quality, accuracy, and compliance of the engineering studies and design works prepared by the Design Consultant with applicable standards, guidelines, and industry best practices. This includes providing an objective evaluation of the following key aspects, but not limited to the following: Thoroughness of Engineering Studies and Alternative Analysis, inclusive of reviewing the basis and rationale of the design options proposed by the Design Consultant Design Completeness and Accuracy Constructability, Operability and Maintainability Compliance and Risk Assessment & Mitigation Note that the purpose of peer review services is to enhance the overall quality, reliability and effectiveness of the engineering studies and design works by the Design Consultant, supporting the successful delivery of the North YDSS Expansion Phase 1 Project. The Peer Reviewer is to work collaboratively with York Region and the Design Consultant, allowing for flexibility in scheduling and allocating their resources to meet the goals and priorities of the North YDSS Expansion Phase 1 Project.
