to provide proposed tree species/cultivars, and to plant, mulch, water and warranty said trees on City streets and municipal properties. All work performed, trees provided and materials supplied shall be in accordance to industry standards. Scope of Work: To provide proposed tree species/cultivars, and to plant, mulch, water and warranty said trees on City streets and municipal properties. All equipment, material, labor, trees, planting mix, wood mulch, watering, warranty and other miscellaneous costs to complete this proposed work shall be included in the bid proposal. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the "City of Petoskey", in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid for the Tree Planting Program 2025. Such check or bid bond may be forfeited by the successful bidder if the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract with the CITY within ten (10) days following notification of acceptance of the bid. Performance Bond: The successful bidder will be required, simultaneously with the execution of the Contract, to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The bond shall be secured from a surety company acceptable to the CITY. A bank Letter of Credit in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the contract amount available to the City will be accepted in lieu of the Performance and Labor and Materials Bond. The cost to provide such bonds shall be included in the bid proposal. Award: The City of Petoskey will consider awarding a contract within thirty (30) day of the bid opening. Award: All proposals shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days from date of Bid Opening. The City of Petoskey will consider awarding a contract within thirty (30) days of the Bid Opening date. Rejection Waiver: The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities and to make an award that is deemed to be in the best interest of the CITY.
