The DC Public Library (DCPL) is seeking for an E-Rate eligible contractor to supply and install network data distribution switches and wireless access points throughout the Martin Luther King (MLK) Library and twenty-five (25) neighborhood libraries across the District of Columbia. Contract period is for a year with 4 one-year options. All questions shall be submitted electronically to procurementdcpl@dc.gov by 2:00 P.M. (ET) on February 4, 2025 in order to generate an official answer. PROJECT OBJECTIVE C.2.1 This RFP is designed to assist DCPL in identifying and selecting the most appropriate WAN solution as part of an initial installation, migration or upgrade from an existing installation. This RFP is designed to identify and select the most cost-effective proposal for the supply and installation of equipment and services eligible for funding under E-Rate Category Two: Internal Connections (IC), Managed Internal Broadband Services (MIBS), and Basic Maintenance of Internal Connections (BMIC). Based on the RFP, offerors shall provide a description of their proposed solution for DCPL's requirements for the supply and installation of equipment and services. C.2.2 The solution to be implemented will: C.2.2.1 Replace and/or upgrade existing network data distribution switches and wireless access points for wired and wireless network access and connectivity to the internet and intranet throughout MLK Library and twenty-five (25) neighborhood libraries across the District of Columbia. C.2.2.2 Improve the performance and reliability of wired and wireless network services throughout MLK Library and twenty-five (25) neighborhood libraries across the District of Columbia. The scope of work includes all planning, design, installation, and configuration activities necessary to upgrade/ replace the existing network infrastructure.
