Renovation of a multi-residential development in Westfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The Project consists of: Replacement of the existing fire alarm system with a new addressable control panel and devices at the JFK Apartments. The site includes thirteen (13) low rise apartment buildings and a community building. The work is estimated to cost $329,043 Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 26 to 27H inclusive. General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Westfield Housing Authority. The scope of work at this site includes the furnishing, installation, connection and testing of the microprocessor controlled, intelligent reporting fire alarm equipment required to form a complete, operative, coordinated system. It shall include, but not be limited to, alarm initiating devices, alarm notification appliances, Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP), auxiliary control devices, annunciators, and wiring as shown on the drawings and specified herein. The new system will be connected to the existing telephone line.
