Description Construction - Electrical Electrical Equipment Electrical Equipment - Service TriMet's Red Line Feeder Breaker Retrofit & Station Control Cabinet Upgrade Purpose TriMet's substations, supplying 800VDC for the Red Line (Airport) have reached the end of their lifecycle, where replacement parts or repair services are no longer offered by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). S5 PLC, used as a digital protection relay inside the DC Feeder Breakers, but also the Annunciator Panel Ametec Power shall be replaced. There is a total of five (5) mainline Traction Power Substations (TPS) in this upgrade. Each mainline TPS is equipped with two (2) Feeder Breakers and one (1) annunciator panel. With this solicitation, TriMet is requesting bids from qualified firms to provide Feeder Breaker retrofit and Station Control Cabinet upgrade services within its Red Line service district, which includes: o Rocky Butte TPS; o Parkrose TPS; o Mt. Hood TPS; o Cascades TPS o Post Office TPS. 2.3 Scope of Work Contractor shall manufacture the following items at an offsite location, then install at the appropriate TriMet location when available. The price of this Contract shall include any and all costs to provide the manufacture of breakers and their installation, including but not limited to all direct and indirect costs, labor, transportation, freight, fuel, profit, etc. Note that Appendix G - Workforce Training and Hiring Program shall apply to this Contract. 2.3.1 DC Feeder Breaker Trucks Upgrade Contractor shall provide new top panel doors for the new relay mounting or to match existing Siemens design (14GA Steel) painted or powder coated to match existing color, with the following installed components: o RED Light: Breaker CLOSED o GREEN Light: Breaker OPENED o Yellow Light: Alarm Question Submission Close Date 2/6/2025 11:30 AM PST All questions regarding this Invitation to Bid must be directed to Linda Joy via email at joyl@trimet.org Contractors shall send all questions asked during the Site Visit to Linda L.
