Renovation of a mixed-use development in Battle Creek, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and theater / auditorium.
Award to Contractor February 25, 2025 Lakeview School District is updating their auditorium seating to better serve patrons of events and performances. This will include new auditorium seating and updates to meet current code and regulations including handicap accessibility and entry and egress updates in terms of aisle lighting and markings. PROJECT SCHEDULE: July 1, 2025 - July 31, 2025 BID BOND: Required. Bid bond or certified check of not less than 5% of the bid amount shall be submitted with bid and made payable to Lakeview School District. PREVAILING WAGE: This is not a prevailing wage project. FAMILIAL RELATIONSHIP DISCLOSURE: All proposals shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship (or lack of a relationship) that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education of the Lakeview School District or the Superintendent of the School District. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include a sworn and notarized disclosure statement. IRAN ECONOMIC SANCTIONS ACT: Additionally, each bid shall be accompanied by a disclosure statement indicating that they have not been doing business with companies having ties with the country of Iran in accordance with the Iran Sanctions Act. RFI questions cut off February 10, 2025, 3:00 PM A fillable RFI form is located on the CSM Group plan room. Typed RFIs are to be submitted to danielle.craft@csmgroup.com. All bidders are required to be prequalified with CSM Group to become eligible for contract award. However, prequalification is not required to submit a bid. Bidders who have received written approval as a qualified bidder in the last 12 months will not be required to resubmit. Please contact prequalification@csmgroup.com *A copy of the agenda has been attached for your use. *Clarification 08 has been attached for review. The clarification includes a design alternate as well as a product substitution request. Please note that clarifications 1-7 were issued per an earlier project phase, they do not pertain to the Auditorium Seating bid package. *Please see attached Addendum 001 issued. In the interest of expediency and not delaying the Bid-Due date, the project will not be requiring an approved substitution request prior to bidding. We do ask that interested bidders submit their relevant product data as soon as possible for the project team to begin evaluating those products, please be prepared to submit a full size sample within a week of bidding for validation before award recommendation. *Clarification 09 has been attached for use. Please note that clarifications 1-7 were issued per an earlier project phase, they do not pertain to the Auditorium Seating bid package.
