The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: Renovation of an educational facility. As of May 18, 2026, a general contractor is being reviewed for this project. A firm construction timelinew for this project has not yet been released. A $3,799,469 alteration permit is under review for 3203 S.E. Woodstock Blvd. An upgrade of Reed College’s Physical Plant Building would involve the first and second floors, the mezzanine, and the roof. The roof/exterior work would involve VRF outdoor units and a steam silencer. The interior work would involve steam boilers, a hot water pump, a deaerator feedwater system, a condensate tank, a fuel oil pump, a converter, a boiler, a blowdown separator, duplex condensate pumps, an air separator, an expansion tank, energy recovery ventilators, exhaust fans, hydronic unit heaters, VRF wall mount units, draft fans, fuel polisher, ductwork, diffusers, grilles, piping and electrical. Neither the applicant nor the project owner is listed. Total Mechanical of Camas, Washington, is the contractor. A $2,719,632 alteration permit is under review for 3203 S.E. Woodstock Blvd. An upgrade of Reed College’s Physical Plant Building would involve the first and second floors, the mezzanine, and the roof. The roof/exterior work would include installing a roof membrane, guardrails and parapet bracing, and extending the scupper. The second-floor work would include replacing windows, installing louvers and infilling a wall. The interior work would include demolishing walls and constructing new ones to create a first-floor locker room, restrooms, and a laundry room. The second floor would gain workstations, a paint room, a storage room, a records room, a flex room, a janitorial room, and a receiving area. The mezzanine would gain a key shop, an IT room and a storage area. Also on the first floor, housekeeping pads would be installed, and the grounds room, grounds huddle area and grounds open area would be remodeled. On the second floor, the break room, engineer office and printer alcove would be remodeled. The work would also involve ceiling, flooring, finishes, plumbing and electrical.
