Underwood Hills HVAC & Intercom Upgrades SCOPE OF THE PROJECT Westside Community Schools wishes to replace the water closets, replace the unit ventilators, and upgrade the existing pneumatic controls to digital controls to improve the operating performance of the existing equipment. The mechanical contractor shall coordinate directly with the controls contractor as required for installation of temperature controls. The District will directly contract commissioning with a third party. The mechanical contractor shall cooperate with the Commissioning Authority to complete all commissioning activities. BID BOND A certified check payable to the Westside Community Schools Board of Education or satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. Check or Bid Bond will be retained as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails to furnish the required performance bond, insurance certificate, or sign the Contract within ten (10) days after notification of award. If bid security is not received with the bid, the bid will not be considered. SCHOOL DISTRICT'S RIGHT The School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or any part thereof and to waive any and all technicalities and irregularities should it deem to be in the best interest of the District to do so. Qualification of Bidders: The District may make such investigations as it deems necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to provide the material, and the bidder shall furnish to the District all such information and data for this purpose as the District may request. The District reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such bidder fails to satisfy the District that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the plans or specifications and to complete the work contemplated therein. Conditional bids shall not be accepted.
