The City of Elk Grove, Public Works Department, will be requesting qualifications and proposals from firms to provide Construction Manager At-Risk (CMAR) preconstruction and construction services for the New Zoo at Elk Grove Program (WZO Program). The WZO Program consists of 5 projects identified in the Citys 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Program that include onsite zoological park improvements, roadways, parking lots, storm water basins and utility extensions. The WZO Program is currently in the design phase which is anticipated to conclude in 2026. The City will provide the following services for the WZO Program: design of onsite improvements, design of roadways, parking lots, storm water basins and utility extensions. The selected CMAR firm will provide preconstruction and construction phase services including but not limited to the following: 1. Project management 2. Design & constructability review 3. Value engineering 4. Cost estimating 5. Scheduling 6. Procurement services (assembling work packages, advertising for bids, bid management, bid opening, bid balancing) 7. Construction of all onsite and offsite improvements 8. Construction management 9. Risk & safety management 10.
