New construction of a conference / convention center in Trussville, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a conference / convention center.
The project consists of the significant sitework and landscape/hardscape components to Railroad Avenue as well as the entire site from the existing City Hall building, down to the Trussville Gas & Water and SE Gas buildings. There will be a new sidewalk that extends under the Highway 11 bridge and connects to the existing Greenway. The Trussville Gas & Water building will have an addition to include a new entry, Gallery, and Boardroom. The building will also receive new finishes throughout and the existing breakroom will be renovated. The SE Gas building will have renovations to update and add openings, replace the siding, and relocate the entrance to the building. Both buildings will receive new roofs. The base bid work to the existing City Hall building consists of the demolition of the existing Porte Cache and drive through canopies with patching to match existing finishes. This building also has a Bid Alternate to remove additional porches and replace the veneer at the entrance as well as the entry doors. The alternate will also include painting all brick masonry and blue metal components to remain while replacing the sloped metal roof at the main entrance .
