1 The City of North Adams, through its Office of Community Development (OCD), the Awarding Authority, is seeking bids from qualified contractors for roadway and associated infrastructure improvements for its B'2024 Roads, which includes Jackson Street, Hudson Street, and Herman Avenue totaling approximately 1,319 feet. The project documents have been prepared by the Pare Corporation of Holyoke, MA. The work under B'2024 Roadway Improvement Project consists of mill and overlay resurfacing with new cement concrete sidewalks with integral cement concrete curb, ADA / MAAB compliant curb ramps and crosswalks, traffic signs, replacement of frames and grates or frames and covers as needed, and all associated work for the entire lengths of Hermon Avenue (250 ft), Hudson Street (508 ft), and Jackson Street (561 ft). The project is estimated to cost $390,000 and the total number of days to Final Completion is estimated to be ninety (90) days. Contractors must be pre-qualified by the MassDOT's Highway Division in order to be an eligible bidder. Wages are subject to Massachusetts minimum wage rates as per M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H inclusive, and federal minimum wage rates pursuant to the Davis-Bacon Act, whichever pays more.
