Berkeley County is requesting bids from qualified firms for Water Main Improvements. This project is divided into three (3) water main improvement projects. The first water main improvement is called the Tail Race Canal, which includes a redundant water main under the Tail Race Canal, located near Power House Road in Moncks Corner, SC. The second water main improvement is called CWS Connection. Which includes an emergency water main connection between CWS and BCWS, located along Oxford Road in Ladson, SC. The third water main improvement is called Briddleford Primary Feed, which includes a new primary feed, located near Briar Rose Lane in Ladson, SC/ Preformed work includes installation approximately 10 LF (linear feet) of 6-inch PVC water main, 1830 LF of 8-inch PVC water main. 160 LF of 8-inch DIP water main. 330 LF of 20-inch DIP water main, and 900 LF of 20-inch FPVC water main installed via horizontal directional drilling, along with all necessary appurtenances. This work also includes the abandonment of 4,000 LF of 8-inch water main for the existing Briddleford primary feed, sediment and erosion control, and traffic control. Bids over $100,000.00 shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount equal to 5% of the bid.
