Renovation of a laboratory facility in Moncton, New Brunswick. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 210,000-square-foot, seven-story above grade laboratory facility.
Public Works and Government Services Canada has retained a Construction Manager (Pomerleau) to modernize laboratory facilities as part of its Laboratories Canada (LC) program of work. The Construction Manager's Contract is the Atlantic Science Enterprise Centre (ASEC) (also known as the Gulf Fisheries Centre (GFC)) a PWGSC owned asset in Moncton, NB, that will be redeveloped and expanded to provide science accommodations and non-science space for use by five Science Partners. The asset is a federally designated recognized heritage building and will remain under operation during the phased construction approach. The construction phasing is the following: Enabling Works, Phase 1 New Science Annex, Phase 2 New Construction. The objective of the Request for Qualification is to receive and assess submissions from interested Trade Partners for the purpose of pre-qualifying subcontractors to construct the Building Interior for the Phase 1 of ASEC. Scope of Work Phase: Building Interiors for Phase 1 of the Atlantic Science Enterprise Centre (ASEC). Structure: One underground level & six above-ground floors. Approx. Size: about 30,000 sq. ft per floor.
