1.1.1 Supply up to 65,000 tonnes of Des. 4 Class 20 aggregate: The scope of work for this project shall include but is not limited to the following entails the supply of up to 65,000 tonnes of Designation 2 Class 20 aggregate. The Proponent shall identify the location of any source(s) utilized in the production of Des. 2 Cl. 20 aggregate. The Proponent shall clearly identify on the Unit Price schedule the legal land location of for the supply of the Des.2 Cl. 20 aggregate. In addition to this the Proponent shall identify the haul route from his aggregate source(s) to the nearest public road. The haul distance shall be identified to the nearest 0.1 of a kilometer. Each Proponent shall identify how much quantity, up to, of Des. 2 Cl. 20 aggregate they are willing and able to supply and meet all requirements stipulated herein. The full contract quantity for the supply of Des 2 Cl. 20 aggregate is 65,000 tonnes. A Proponent may choose to identify the full quantity for supply, however the Proponent can choose a lower quantity. The Proponent shall enter the quantity of Des. 2 Cl. 20, up to 65,000 tonnes in the space provided with the Unit Price Schedule. The County will determine based on the tenders received how much quantity is most economical to be awarded to from the aggregate source(s)s identified in the compliant submissions received. The determination of the quantity from any source(s)(s) will be based on the dead haul to each road that is incorporated into the summer road program. The County will utilize a set haul rate against the cost of supply to determine the quantity to be utilized from each source(s) to the mid point of each road segments. Segments can range in length, but generally they shall be no less than one mile and be no greater than six miles. However, in the evaluation process the County reserves the right to utilize any road segment length to determine the most appropriate source(s) to utilize. 1.1.2 Supply and Haul to Stockpile 10,000 tonnes of Des. 4 Class 40 aggregate. Generally, the County will look to award the provision of Des. 4 Class 40 aggregate in its entirety to one Proponent. The material is to be hauled and stockpiled at the County's Public Yard situated at 21414 TWP Road 600A, Thorhild AB. The award of the supply will be considered independently and not included with the supply of any other material unless it deemed beneficial to do so as a value-added consideration in a Proponent's proposal. Please refer to the gradation chart provided to view the gradation requirements, as provided in Appendix "E", Specification for Aggregate Production. Please note that the percent fracture has been modified to 60+ percent. 1.1.3 Supply and Haul to Stockpile 5,000 tonnes of Des. 3 Class 12.5C aggregate. Generally, the County will look to award the provision of Des. 3 Class 12.5C aggregate in its entirety to one Proponent. The material is to be hauled and stockpiled at the County's Public Yard situated at 21414 TWP Road 600A, Thorhild AB. The award for the supply will be considered independently and not included with the supply of other material unless it is deemed by the County as beneficial to consider. Please refer to the gradation chart provided to view the gradation requirements, as provided in Appendix "E", Specification for Aggregate Production. 1.1.4 Supply and Haul to Stockpile 7,500 tonnes of Modified Des. 6 Class 80 aggregate. Generally, the County will look to award the provision of Modified Des. 6 Class 80 aggregate in its entirety to one Proponent. The material is to be hauled and stockpiled at the County's Public Yard situated at 21414 TWP Road 600A, Thorhild AB. The award for the supply will be considered independently and not included with the supply of other material unless it is deemed by the County as beneficial to consider. Please note that the gradation requirements for Des. 6 Class 80 have been modified to exhibit less passing the intent is to have more fractured aggregate retained on the larger sieve sizes and produce a higher percentage fracture. Please refer to the gradation chart provided to view the gradation requirements, as provided in Appendix "E", Specification for Aggregate Production. Please note the gradation has been modified from the typical standard gradation. 1.1.5 Conduct Quality Control testing on the crushed gravel aggregate being produced to ensure that the crushed gravel aggregate meets the required materials specification as stipulated as provided in Appendix "E", Specification for Aggregate Production. 1.1.6 The Proponent shall have all necessary permits, approvals, licenses, and agreements in place for any work the Proponent is awarded. 1.1.7 The Proponent must supply all material necessary to complete the Work. A complete job is called for, therefore any labour, material, equipment, tool, or incidental item not specifically mentioned, but necessary for completeness will be considered incidental to the Work, and no separate or additional payment will be made.
