The City of Leduc is committed to ensuring sustainable growth and reliable water services for its residents. As outlined in the 2021 City of Leduc Water Master Plan, critical infrastructure upgrades are necessary to meet the city's expanding needs. Stage 1 of these upgrades focuses on implementing new pressure zones through the construction of Pressure Relief Valves (PRVs), a foundational step toward enhancing water distribution efficiency. This stage also includes the development of essential water infrastructure projects to establish and support two separate pressure relief zones, addressing current demands while preparing for future growth. In addition to the water infrastructure improvements, the Capital Utility Program also includes the biannual Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) main line and lateral lining projects. This innovative process rehabilitates aging sewer mains and laterals without the need for extensive excavation, extending the lifespan of the existing infrastructure and reducing maintenance costs. 2026 Linsford Water Main Upgrades - In conjunction with the Pressure Zone Implementation, the need to upsize the waterline to the Linsford Park School is required to maintain required fire flows. A 250mm waterline is to be added from the school to Blackgold Drive as shown below. 2026 Sanitary Main Line Maintenance - Main line CIPP rehabilitation requirements will be reviewed with the Successful Proponent to fit within the total budget constraints. TIMELINE: Project is in design. Estimated cost is $340,000. Project will be republished once it's been approved to bid for construction.
