US 70 Business ARV Replacements The work consists of replacing 8 combination air/vacuum and air release valve manholes, adding 1 combination air/vacuum and air release valve manhole, removing approximately 40 LF of 12" force main, 7ft diameter manhole with mag meter, and fittings, and replacing it with 40 LF of 20" force main. A Performance Will Be Required for the Successful Bidder in the Amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Price, Conditioned Upon the Faithful Performance of the Contract, Payment of All Persons Supplying Labor or Furnishing Materials, and Payment of All Liabilities Incurred in Connection With the Work Under This Contract. North Carolina law requires any contractor bidding on work in the State which costs $30,000.00 or more to show evidence that he is licensed under the "Act to Regulate the Practice of General Contracting." No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and any part of a bid and to waive formalities and technicalities in the bidding procedure.
