Site work for a medical facility in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for site work for a medical facility.
BACKGROUND: Replacement of the existing sign and maintain the Title 24 Standards. This sign is old, inoperable and damaged. Project site: Hubert Humphrey Health Center. 5850 S. Main Street, Los Angeles, Ca 90003. OBJECTIVES/SCOPE: 1.Disconnect power from the unit to remove existing sign 4'-0" x 10'-0" monument sign, demolish existing steel supports and concrete footing (as needed), and dispose as hazardous materials. 2. Provide new sign as current signage same layout. 3. Install One 4'-0" x 10'-0" single face LED internally lighted pylon sign installed at 10' from planter level to cabinet bottom and install according to manufacture specs. 4. Make final connections as required using existing 120v 20amp sign lighting circuit. 5. Provide drawing and manual 6. All associated electrical including but not limited to new connection, properly rated fuses and gages. 7. Remove all trash and unused materials from jobsite. This job is to be completed during the normal hours of 7 am- 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday. Minimum Mandatory Requirements: 1. Bidder must hold a Class "B" or "C-45" Contractor's License by the State of California. Copies of licenses must be submitted with the solicitation. response at the time of closing. 2. Bidder must attend bidder's conference/job walk. Tasks: 1. Bidder Disconnect and secure electrical. 2. Remove and demo existing signage and piping. 3. Utilize crane to lift the new sign into place. Deliverables: 1. New Illuminated Sign Cabinet with Extended Poles - 1 each a. Size: 45" Tall x 108" Wide b. Material: Aluminum Sign Cabinet c. Painted: Satin Silver d. White Lexan Face w/ Blue Translucent Vinyl Overlay e. Illumination: White LED 2. Round Steel Posts - 2 each a. Approx. 10'0" Tall (Must slip over existing Posts) b. Will be welded to existing posts Job Walk/Bidder's Conference: See page 19 of RFB-IS-25200676 for Job Walk Information This job will require a conducted job walk prior to the submission of the written proposal. Target Project Timeline: 1. Obtain new sign and posts - 10 weeks from issue of PO 2. Sign removal and Installation of New - 1 week 3. Total Project must be completed within 11 weeks of start date. Testing must be completed and accepted by County Personnel Bidder Responsibilities: Bidder will be responsible for all materials to complete the job. Bidder must provide the following equipment/ parts: Utilize crane to lift the new sign into place. County Responsibilities: Facilities support for work needed outside of scope. Success: Final walk through will be performed by MLK Facilities along with responsible contractor to confirm proper operation. Requirements: For the safety of the public and staff, all tools and equipment shall be secured and accounted for at all times.
