Pavement Line Striping and Specialty Pavement Marking The Road Commission of Kalamazoo County (RCKC) invites qualified bidders to submit proposals for furnishing and applying pavement line striping and specialty pavement marking as specified. Question Deadline 02/10/2025 at 10:00 AM ET Questions must be received through electronically. Questions asked via email, phone or otherwise will not be answered. Work under this contract shall consist of furnishing and applying uniformly retro-reflectorized pavement makings of the type specified herein and at the specific locations designated by the Project Manager or designee. All materials and placement thereof shall be in accordance with MDOT specifications and shall meet MDOT specified reflectivity specifications. The RCKC retains the option of measuring the retroreflectivity readings of the pavement marking applied by the Contractor. Re-striping work shall include the application of new material over faded or worn existing pavement markings. This work shall be done in accordance with the schedules noted in this document. It is estimated that no layout work is necessary as the Contractor should be able to retrace existing markings. Project work shall include the application of pavement markings on paving or chip seal projects. Projects work will be completed according to the predefined schedule noted in this document. The Contractor shall be responsible to install any legends required for the project immediately after longitudinal lines are installed. Project work may be laid out by the agency or by the Contractor. If projects are laid out by the agency, layout of legends, lane width, shoulder width, transitions, beginning, and ending of markings will be provided. Is this case, the Contractor may still need to layout edge line, rope in curves and tapers, and any other layout marks necessary to complete the work. The agency may also provide tabs or layout markings on chip seals.
