Proposed construction improvements include replacing existing lead water service lines on both the public and private sides of the right-of-way, as detailed in the Plans and Specifications. Public replacements will run from the water main to the right-of-way, and private replacements will run from the right-of-way line to the meter connection point. This work will consist of approximately +/- 400 replacements through either open-cut trenching operations or directional boring of the water service line. Existing lines are to be abandoned in place upon successful connection of newly installed pipe. Project award shall total $2,552,000 in whole. Bidders shall bid unit prices to install services.
