Installation of vault and meter for water main interconnect (please see RFP for more information) Bid Bond 10% DESCRIPTION OF IMPROVEMENT The work consists of construction and installation of a water meter vault, water meters, and relevant appurtenances at the water main interconnect between the Cities of North Chicago and Waukegan Description. The Contractor shall take sufficient precautions to prevent pollution of streams, lakes, reservoirs, and wetlands with fuels, oils, bitumens, calcium chloride, or other harmful materials according to Article 107.23 of the Standard Specifications. General. To prevent pollution by residual concrete and/or the byproduct of washing out the concrete trucks, concrete washout facilities shall be constructed and maintained. The concrete washout shall be constructed, maintained, and removed according to this special provision and details included in these plans. Concrete washout facilities shall be required regardless of the need for NPDES permitting. On projects requiring NPDES permitting, concrete washout facilities shall also be addressed in the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan.
