II. Purpose and Scope This exhibit provides requirements for the purchase of 1, exact replacement, HVAC wall pack unit located along wayside of DART's light rail system installed in wayside facilities. 1. The air conditioner shall be exact replacements (brand specific) due to the unique design and the exact sizing requirements of the ABS (Automatic Block System) cabinets and cages. 2. The ABS cabinets and cages were customized to the exact specifications of the wall-pack units and would not be cost effective to modify due to the work required and location of the track wayside equipment. 3. Providing these particular equipment makes and models, it will ensure that no expensive alterations or modifications to the existing ABS cabinets will be required, and a constant service performance will be maintained.
