The project scope for the Base Bid and Alternate Bids includes but is not limited to Mobilization; Rehabilitate approximately 1,309 LF of existing 8 sanitary sewer line with a 8.625 O.D. (7.55 I.D.) DR 17 HDPE liner pipe by the pipe-bursting method of construction; Remove and replace 4 existing sanitary sewer manholes outside of pavement with new fiberglass manhole; Construct 1 new fiberglass sanitary sewer manholes outside of pavement; Remove and replace 2 existing sanitary sewer main line cleanouts with shallow fiberglass manhole; Seal 3 manhole or cleanout lids with silicone gasket maker and inflow prevention devices; Restore approximately 64 sanitary sewer services on rehabilitated lines; Remove and replace 1 existing sanitary sewer lift station with new packaged lift station. Directional drill 738 LF of 4 HDPE to replace the existing force main, including tie in with proposed force main from proposed lift station; Bore and jack 200 LF or 4 HDPE and 8 steel casing in accordance with railroad and permit and TXDOT permit requirements Directional drill 785 LF of 4 HDPE to replace the existing force main, including tie in with existing manhole Bid Security, only in the form of: 1) a certified or cashiers check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to the City of Silsbee, Texas; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the total bid, must accompany each bid at the time it is submitted.
