The proposed contract requires the mechanical brushing of approximately 6.5km's of BCTS designated Forest Service roads by the use of wheeled or tracked equipment with the appropriate brushing heads to remove light or heavy brush, heavy timber and/or snags or blowdown from the roads right-of-way. Pruning of branches that protrude into the mulch heavy timber; therefore, a mulching head will be required. The brushing site is the Howard South and the HOSO 1000. These will be accessed via barge on Kinbasket Lake. These roads have not been maintained for 20 years, brushing is expected to be heavy.
