Shallow bedrock and significant rock excavation is expected. Construction of water main connections to existing mains including approximately 43 ductile iron isolation gate valves, 14 flushing hydrants, fusible and mechanical joined connection fittings, and appurtenances for a complete system. Install 80 new 1" HDPE electrofusion tapping saddles, partial service line extensions, and curb stops. CONTRACT TIME AND SCHEDULE: Time required for completion of the work is a basic consideration of the Contract. The Contractor shall begin within 10 days of the Notice to Proceed. Due to winter conditions, the District will allow construction to start no earlier than April 1.
