Renovation of a water / sewer project in Gravenhurst, Ontario. Design plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Upgrades Gravenhurst Water Pollution Control Plant including: 1. Headworks (Replacement of grit tank blowers; Replacement of grit tank solenoid valves and piping as required.), 2. Soda Ash Dosing System (Replacement of soda ash batch unit including feeder with cutter type auger; Replacement of soda ash vibrator; Replacement of slurry tank; Replacement of dosing system and all pipe work from both slurry tank and to injection point, and a new panel board; Replacement of soda ash slurry tank mixer; Replacement of soda ash feed diaphragm pumps with hose pumps; Replacement of soda ash transfer pumps; Replacement of control panel, including tank level sensor and conductivity/solution strength analyzer). 3. Secondary Treatment Aeration (Convert existing jet aeration system to fine bubble system; Replacement of blower intake plenum and air filters, review of spate intake of each blower; Existing blowers are to remain and to be used with the new fine bubble system). 4. Alum Dosing System (Replacement of existing alum dosing pumps with peristaltic pumps; Installation of pump panel board mounted assembly; Review of change to flow paced dosing as system currently runs on constant speed pumps. All tank piping and discharge tubing to injection points). 5. Primary and Secondary Clarifiers (If required: Replacement of chains and flights of all primary and secondary clarifiers (horizontal and cross-collectors); Replacement of chain shafts; Replacement of submerged sliders, hubs and cogs; Replacement of drive motors and gear reducers for all primary and secondary clarifiers; Replacement of motorized (Rotork) actuators on raw sludge pumps.) TIMELINE: An RFP for engineering services to complete design & provide tender and contract administration services has been awarded. Design is underway, Updates may be available fall 2025.
