Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Middleton, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The work includes the reconstruction of: Parmenter Street between Century Avenue and Greenbriar Road. The roadway is planned to be widened and urbanized with curb and gutter throughout the corridor. Bike lanes, bike paths, and sidewalks are included within the project. Stormwater management is required for the project and included within the project limits. Minimal water main and sanitary sewer improvements are required within the project. Public coordination and staging of construction will be required to allow for access to the properties along the corridor. Lighting, pavement marking, landscaping and restoration will all have elements within the project. The City is flexible on scheduling this work, intended to be pursued sometime between June 2025 and being completed in September 2025. It is anticipated once work begins, Contractors will be present to continue work on the project until completion is reached. Work should be coordinated to allow traffic during all events such as Good Neighbor Festival Weekend planned for August 22nd through the 24th of 2025. No Bid will be received unless accompanied by a surety in a form acceptable to the City equal to at least 5% of the maximum Bid, payable to the OWNER. The City of Middleton reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any Bid which it deems advantageous. All Bids shall remain subject to acceptance for 85 days after the time set for receiving Bids (consisting of up to: 60 days for issuance of Notice of Award; 15 days for Contractor to return signed agreements, bonds and insurance; and 10 days for City execution of agreement). The project is funded in part by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP). Contract award shall be made based on the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder.
