Imperial Center Roof Replacement The City of Rocky Mount Reserves The right to Reject Any and All Bids. The City of Rocky Mount Will Not Discriminate against Any Bidder Submitting a Bid Because of Race, Creed, Color, National Origin or Handicap. Question Deadline 02/13/2025 at 4:00 PM ET The City of Rocky Mount is Seeking 10%minority Business Participation on This project. Work under this Contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to perform specified roof replacement and wall repairs at the Rocky Mount Imperial Center Complex, 270 Gay St. and 367N. Franklin Street, Rocky Mount, NC, 27802 as described in these specifications. The work will include, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: 1.1.1.1 Roof Replacement: (a) Water test all roof drains prior to any work and report any blockages or other impediments to drainage to Owner and Designer. (b) At location identified as Roof Replacement: Remove the existing roofing and roof insulation down to the deck, and discard. Observe deck for damage, including termite damage inform designer of record if damage is beyond the scope of design documents. (c) At locations identified as Roof Recover: Prepare existing assembly for new coverboard, membrane, and flashings. Remove existing assembly down to the deck at areas identified to contain moisture. (d) Remove all existing membrane flashings, metal flashings, and miscellaneous items, and discard. (e) Remove all existing drain strainers and clamping rings. (f) Replace any deteriorated wood nailers or deteriorated deck. (g) Furnish and install new wood nailers at the perimeter to accommodate the height of the new insulation. (h) Cut through wall scuppers in new wood nailers. (i) Furnish and install new drain strainers and clamping rings. (j) Furnish and install new pipe supports and paint gas lines. (k) Furnish and install new Roof Replacement and Roof Recover systems as identified on the Roof Assembly Charts on the drawings. (l) Furnish and install new fully adhered PVC membrane. (m) Furnish and install new membrane walkway pads. (n) Furnish and install new membrane flashings and metal flashings. (o) Furnish and install new counterflashings, edge metal and coping. (p) Water test all roof drains after new roof system installation is complete. Roof drains shall be plugged above the connection to the drain pipe and flood tested to test the connection of the new roof membrane to the drain. (q) Furnish and install any miscellaneous items. Wall Repairs: (a) Tuckpoint all deteriorated masonry joints. (b) Remove and replace damaged, cracked, or spalled bricks. (c) Install sealant at three sides of metal shrouds over louvers and at perimeter of mechanical units mounted on the wall. 1.1.1.3 Termite Damage Repairs (denoted as Termite Damage Areas 1, 3, 4 on drawings): (a) Remove damaged roof deck noted on drawings or remove damage deck observed during roof removal. (b) Inform designer of record of termite damage beyond the scope of what is shown
