Cobb County ("County" or "Owner") is issuing this solicitation for Purchase and Installation of Playground Safety Surfacing. for various parks throughout Cobb County. The majority of work shall be top-off of existing surfacing, but there is the potential for installation of all new surfacing at times. All work shall be done in a manner that is in compliance with all applicable code requirements including the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Georgia Accessibility Code as it applies for outdoor developed areas; and completed within the calendar day period set forth in the contract documents. There will also be consideration of a reasonable shipment time which the Owner will add to the schedule. Question Submission Deadline: February 4, 2025, 5:00pm Question Submission Deadline . All questions must be submitted through the Countys eProcurement Portal CYPRESS MULCH SAFETY SURFACING (CWF) Surfacing shall be IPEMA-certified Cyprus safety surfacing. Standard wood chips, bark mulch, or material manufactured from recycled pallets are not acceptable. Vendor must provide test results for Cyprus Wood Fiber and Mats for impact attenuation in accordance with ASTM F 1292 Standard Specification for Impact Attenuation for Surface Systems Under and Around Playground Equipment. Test results must be provided for new material. Testing of Cyprus Mulch in accordance with ASTM F 1292 must show G-max values of less than 155G for the 8 thick system, or 120G for the 12 system at 12 drop heights, and HIC values of less than 1,000 for both new and 12-year-old material. Vendor must provide test results for the Cyprus Wood Fiber in accordance with ASTM F 2075 Specification for Engineered Wood Fiber for Use as Playground Safety Surface Under and Around Playground Equipment. Vendor must provide test results in accordance with ASTM F 1951 Standard Specification for Determination of Accessibility of Surface Systems Under and Around Playground Equipment. Vendor must certify that the supplied surface meets the intent of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Vendor must provide written manufacturers 25-year warranty against loss of resiliency. Vendor must provide product liability insurance certificate with County named as certificate holder, prior to delivery Contract is renewable, at the option of Cobb County Government, and upon written agreement by the vendor. However, the total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any options, shall not exceed three (3) years (basic year and two (2) one (1) year options).
