Award: NC Carports & Garages in the amount of $75,733.25 Dorchester County is seeking bids from qualified and experienced Contractors to provide and install a preengineered metal building (PEMB) for the Emergency Management Department. The building is to be used for storage and does not need a finished interior. Electrical needs will include power for lights and electrical plugs to be used to keep batteries on trickle chargers and may, in the future, power security cameras. Building will be located at 235 Deming Way, Summerville, SC 29483 (see attached aerial on next page). Work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services, incidental and implied, for the completion of work as described herein. All items not specifically mentioned in the specifications, but which obviously are required to make the job complete, shall be included in the bid. Quantities and jurisdictional requirements should be verified prior to bid. Contractor shall be responsible for any jurisdictional permits required for the construction of this building, and design shall meet all required jurisdictional standards. Contractor shall abide by all corresponding International Building Codes and Dorchester County Building Codes, as well as Dorchester County Planning and Zoning requirements. Prior to construction commencement, Contractor shall obtain a Dorchester County business license, if not already licensed in the County. o Dimensions of the building shall be 40'Wx104'Lx16'H. o Doors shall include six 12'x12' manual rollup doors, one manual 14'x14' rollup door, and two standard walk-through exterior doors. o Roof style shall be vertical with 4' on center. o Minimum wind/snow rating shall be 145 MPH + 50 PSF Certified. o Minimum 14-gauge metal is required. o 200-amp service with outside disconnect in compliance with 2020 NEC. Bid form includes an alternate line for installation of the concrete pad foundation.
