Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Harrisburg, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The Town of Harrisburg will accept bids for the following project: Extension of Town Center Drive from Carl Parmer Drive to Cambridge Drive, and Davis Creek Greenway Construction. SCOPE OF WORK: New roadway section connecting the existing intersection of Carl Parmer Drive and Main Street to recently constructed Cambridge Drive. The roadway will consist of two travel lanes with curb and gutter and cross Davis Creek via dual box culverts. The greenway portion of the project will begin at the Cambridge Drive intersection and run along Davis Creek for approximately 1,000 Linear Feet. All work is to be completed by May 1, 2026. The Town of Harrisburg reserves the right to add or delete from the contract quantities. Please see instructions to bidders for more information. The party submitting a bid is solely responsible for delivery of the bid at the specified location prior to the deadline for receipt of bids. In accordance with NCGS 143-129, a Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of five (5) percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid bond (on the form included in the Bidding Documents) issued by a surety that is duly licensed or authorized in the jurisdiction in which the project is located to issue bonds in the required amounts. The Bid security of the apparent Successful Bidder will be retained until Owner awards the contract to such Bidder, and such Bidder has executed the Contract Documents, furnished the required contract security, and met the other conditions of the Notice of Award, whereupon the Bid security will be released. If the Successful Bidder fails to execute and deliver the Contract Documents and furnish the required contract security within 15 days after the Notice of Award, Owner may consider Bidder to be in default, annul the Notice of Award, and the Bid security of that Bidder will be forfeited. Such forfeiture shall be Owner's exclusive remedy if Bidder defaults. The Bid security of other Bidders that Owner believes to have a reasonable chance of receiving the award may be retained by Owner until the earlier of seven days after the Effective Date of the Contract or 91 days after the Bid opening, whereupon Bid security furnished by such Bidders will be released. Bid security of other Bidders that Owner believes do not have a reasonable chance of receiving the award will be released within seven days after the Bid opening. If contractor has failed to obtain a required bond, Owner may exclude the Contractor from the site and exercise Owner's termination rights. When the successful bidder delivers the executed agreement, it shall be accompanied by the performance and payment bonds and insurance documentation. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the contract price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of Contractor's obligations under the contract. These bonds shall remain in effect until one year after the date when final payment becomes due. Contractor shall obtain required bonds from surety companies that are duly licensed or authorized in the jurisdiction in which the project is located to issue bonds in the required amounts.
