Fire Extinguisher, Standpipe Hose and Kitchen Suppression Inspections to enter into Contract(s) on a non-exclusive basis with the Board to provide these services as listed herein for 2 calendar years (2025, 2026), with the provision for an option to extend the contract for an additional 2 x one year Contract (2027, 2028). The Contract(s) will be awarded per CDSBEO region. Contractors will have to bid on all schools to be deemed acceptable and must confirm that they will be able to complete the whole region. All inspections shall be performed on site by a contractor specializing in all phases of servicing portable fire extinguishers, standpipe hoses and kitchen suppression systems. The successful bidder shall locate, document and provide a written report of the condition of each piece of equipment at the site. The successful bidder shall be responsible for the completeness of the inspection and ensuring maintenance items are documented. The qualified bidder shall supply all labour, material, equipment and services to complete all work as specified and as required. All work shall be performed in accordance with applicable Board standards, Ontario Fire Code, NFPA-10, NFPA-12, NFPA-17, NFPA-17A, NFPA-96 Code Bulletins, NFPA 25, NFPA 1962, manufacturers' recommendations and current construction trade practices and all other applicable codes and regulations. The successful bidder shall complete the annual inspection of portable fire extinguishers and standpipe hoses and annual & semi-annual Kitchen Suppression system. Testing, recharging and general maintenance shall be completed where required. The successful bidder shall be provided with a floor plan showing the locations of the equipment. Any new, missing or relocation of equipment shall be included and highlighted in the annual inspection report.
