Renovation of a mixed-use development in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Complete replacement of these AHUs and their associated controls is the requirement. NIST D/B Building 226 Replace AHUs 12, 13, 14 100 Bureau Dr., Gaithersburg, MD 20899 The work includes replacing AHU's 12, 13, and 14 to include duct cleaning, provide a design-build solution for new, energy efficient replacement attic lighting, and all HAZMAT is responsibility of the contractor. As a part of General-Purpose Laboratories (GPL) Buildings, 226 is called "Building Research" Building. Air Handling Units (AHU's) 12, 13 & 14 are original to the building (circa 1965) and are much older than their rated life. These AHUs are in attic of Bldg. 226 and supply conditioned air to environmental chambers. These AHUs have been repaired and serviced regularly, but major repairs are needed to replace corroded components of the AHU's. $1-5 Million Contact the GC (bidders) for document access and any applicable ammendments. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
