Item : 5-80252.00 The Reimagine 9th Street - One-Way to Two-Way - Conversion of Muhammad Ali and Chestnut includes the conversion from One-Way to Two-Way of Muhammad Ali Street and Chestnut Street between Southpark Drive and 9th Street including re-striping, changes to signage, signal improvements, minor pavement, sidewalk, and median reconstruction. Bidders and DBE subcontractors must be prequalified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and possess a Certificate of Eligibility at the time of the bid opening. All other subcontractors must be prequalified when accepting subcontracts. Bidder is required to furnish a Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Total Bid. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal established for this contract is six percent (5%) of the total value of the contract. The Fixed Completion Date for the project is April 15th , 2026. No work shall begin before May 5th, 2025. Notice to Proceed is anticipated to be given on March 26th , 2025 Bidder is required to furnish a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of its Total Bid. This may be in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check or Cashier's Check. No personal checks will be accepted. The Bid Bond shall be supplied at the time of the Bid opening. The successful Bidder must submit a performance bond satisfactory to the Metro Government executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Kentucky, or otherwise supplied, satisfactory to the Metro Government, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as it may be increased. The successful Bidder must submit a payment bond satisfactory to the Metro Government, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Kentucky, or otherwise supplied, satisfactory to the Metro Government, for the protection of all persons supplying labor and material to the Bidder or its subcontractors for the performance of the work provided for in this Bid. The bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the original contract price. Question Deadline 02/19/2025 at 3:00 PM ET Questions may be submitted until this deadline with the understanding that the later a question is submitted, the less likely an answer will be able to be provided. Liquidated Damages at the rate of one thousand dollars ($1,000) per calendar day shall be assessed in accordance with Section 108.09 of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's Standard Specifications for Roads and Bridges, 2019. Contrary to KYTC Standard Specifications, Liquidated Damages will be assessed through seasonal limitation period Louisville/Jefferson County Metro reserves the right to make awards on combination bids or separate bids.
