Project Location: San Antonio State Hospital 6711 S. New Braunfels Ave. San Antonio, Texas 78223 The Health and Human Services Commission, for and on behalf of its Health and Specialty Care System Division, is soliciting Competitive Sealed Proposals for selection of a General Contractor to provide general construction and construction administration services to the Owner SAH ,Alamo Hall Geriatric MSU Renovations, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements set forth in this Solicitation. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Renovation of approximately 22,280 square feet of Alamo Hall (Building 521) a TwoStory masonry hospital for Geriatric Maximum-Security Unit consisting of forensic psychiatric care for men and women with related Nurse Stations, Offices, Conference Rooms, Medications Rooms, Group and Multi-Purpose Rooms, Dining, Laundry/Cleaning support and Staff Areas. 2. Renovation work for the Alamo Hall includes demolition of the existing interiors, elevator, new exterior ADA ramps, new interior walls, doors, flooring, ceilings, new patient elevator, revising existing HVAC, electrical and fire alarm systems / life safety upgrades. New and revising existing Wi-Fi access / cabling for telephone/data and communications, and security camera monitoring. 3. Work at Alamo Hall includes a new 420 square foot addition with a new elevator. 4. Renovations of approximately 4,500 square feet of Seidel Hall (Building 598) a singlestory masonry building for forensic psychiatric care for men and women with related Nurse Stations, Offices, Conference Rooms, Medications Rooms, Group and Multi- Purpose Rooms, Dining, support and Staff Areas. Work includes the addition of a Sallyport. 5. Renovation work for Seidel Hall includes demolition of the existing interiors, new exterior ADA ramps, new windows, roof replacement, new interior walls, doors, flooring, ceilings, HVAC, electrical and fire alarm systems / life safety upgrades. Wi-Fi access / cabling for telephone/data and communications, and security camera monitoring. 6. Site renovations, including new security fencing and flat work.
