Renovation of a mixed-use development in Knoxville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 14,000-square-foot educational facility.

Tennessee School for the Deaf ("TSD") is seeking a contractor to replace the school's Ward Building roof as outlined below in this document. The existing roof is two stories high, shingled, and has seven ridges and multiple penetrations. The existing roof is approximately 14,000 sq ft. in size. All questions & comments are due by Thursday February 13, 2025, by 12:00pm CT in accordance with Terms & Conditions 1.4. . Clearance letters from the TBI for each employee shall be required prior to the first date of service, and TSD reserves the right to request documentation of background checks at any time. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for all costs associated with the background check. The Contractor shall remove existing shingle roof system(s) and underlayment down to roof decking. 2. The Contractor shall be responsible for the disposal of ALL debris and packaging material at the conclusion of the installation/project. 3. The Contractor shall replace the roof decking as necessary. The Contractor shall provide square foot ("SF") unit rates for replacement of plywood and decking boards. These replacement rates will be considered as part of the bid as outlined below. 4. The Contractor shall supply and install 30-year warranty CertainTeed Landmark Shingles (or equivalent), synthetic underlayment, and ice and water shield per manufacturer recommendations. 5. The Contractor shall supply and install ridge vent system. The Contractor shall remove and replace decking for existing venting near gutter edge. 6. The Contractor shall supply and install prefinished aluminum drip edge along perimeter. 7. The Contractor shall properly flash all penetrations, vents, valleys, and other details per manufacturer's standard details and specifications. 8. Measurements for bid calculation: o Base Bid + 200 SF plywood decking replacement + 200 SF deck board replacement.
