The partial interior renovation of the Administration Office Building, Project Code 501-18040-007, at the VDOT Lockwood Facility located at 9120 Lockwood Blvd., Mechanicsville, VA 23116. The project is generally described as the partial interior renovation of the 4-story, approximately 160,000 square feet, administration office building. The work includes demolition, patching, interior partitions, acoustical ceilings, finishes, sprinkler system modifications, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and other appurtenances in accordance with the construction document. A five percent (5%) bid bond is required to accompany this bid. When required bid shall be accompanied by a Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond, Form CO-10.2, payable to the Owner as obligee in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Failure to submit the bid bond on the Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond, Form CO-10.2 will result in the bid being considered non-responsive. (When bid bonds are requested, the awarded contractor will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bond.) Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accord with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
