Closing Time: 12:00 PM (NT) Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/02/13 12:00:00 PM NST 1 Work includes inspections/servicing of fire extinguishers as listed below within the St. John's area and Arnold's Cove, NL in accordance with current NFPA Life Safety Code and National Building Code. .2 The contractor shall make all necessary arrangements with any authority having jurisdiction over the work for the performance of any inspections which may be required and shall notify NL Housing at least Seventy- two (72) hours in advance of such inspections. .3 Inspections of all addresses noted in Schedule "D" to be completed once a year. Buildings to be inspected and all service completed the same day. If circumstances dictate the service of extinguisher cannot be completed the same day the service provider shall within seven (7) business days have work completed. Service provider is responsible to arrange a time with NL Housing client for return of extinguisher. 1 The contractor shall perform an on-site inspection of all fire extinguishers located in Schedule "D" within 60 days of award of contract. 2 Access to apartments to permit inspection of equipment shall be arranged by NL Housing in consultation with the service provider. One (1) week notice to be given to NL Housing for preparation and distribution of notices to clients. .3 Service provider to submit NL Housing with a list of inspections within seven (7) business days from date of inspection. All other extinguishers shall have affixed a record of date of inspection and certification. 4 Each fire extinguisher listed, shall be identified by size, type, serial number and location. In cases where servicing is required the contractor shall specify the type of servicing required (ie. Recharging, hydrostatic testing and recharging or replacement). .5 Where servicing exceeds prices noted in Schedule "D", service provider to contact NL Housing for approval prior to service work commencing. .6 Buildings to be inspected and all service completed the same day. Pick up the equipment at the site Test and/or recharge the equipment if necessary Return the equipment to the site Replace defective equipment with new units .7 Where the equipment has been removed from NL Housings premises for testing and/or servicing by the contractor, the contractor accepts full responsibility for any and all such equipment in their possession. .8 In the case where equipment is stolen, damaged or otherwise rendered unserviceable while in the contractor's possession, the contractor shall replace the equipment at no charge to NL Housing. .9 Where the supply or servicing of equipment is requested by the corporation, the contractor shall fill any order by the corporation within three (3) business days.
