Work includes (see the drawings and specifications for specifics) 1. Remove the fully adhered EPDM roof membrane, flashings and termination bars. 2. Remove 2 layers of 2-inch (51 mm) of polyisocyanurate insulation boards mechanically fastened to and existing wood deck. 3. Mechanically fasten 2 layers of 2.6-inch (660 mm) polyisocyanurate insulation 4. Fully adhere a 60 mil TPO roof membrane to the insulation and parapet walls. 5. Install treated wood blocking and metal copings to the existing stone copings. Run the TPO roof membrane/flashings over and around the parapet wood blocking and install metal copings. The Board of Education for South Fork School District 14 is presenting the following project for bid: Proposed Gymnasium Roof Replacement for South Fork Jr/ Sr High School School District 14 612 Dial Street Kincaid, Illinois 62540 Project Description: Removing the existing EPDM roof membrane, flashings and insulation down to the existing wood roof deck and installing new roof insulation, TPO roof membrane, flashings and parapet copings. Bids should include the following: Properly completed Proposal Form in duplicate. Bid Deposit in the amount of 10% of Bid. Not than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor pursuant to Illinois Revised Statutes, Ch. 489, Sec. 39s-1 et. seq. All Bidders are advised that all work ol this Contract shall be subject to the provisions of the "Illinois Prevailing Wage Act". Prevailing wage rates have been determined and are on file at the Office of the State of Illinois Department of Labor, telephone (217) 782- 6206. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond, bank draft, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of 10% of Bid, made payable to The South Fork Board of Education District 14, Illinois. Failure of Bidders to submit bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in amount to cover proposals bid upon is cause for rejection of bid. The Successful Bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner The South Fork Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted. No bid shall be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening of bids without written consent of the Owner.
