Capistrano Unified School District, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as "District", will receive sealed bids for the award of a Contract for the following: FENCE REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE Any bids received after the time specified above or after any extensions due to material changes shall be returned unopened. No bidder may withdraw any bid for a period of 60 (sixty) calendar days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bidder request for information/clarification: All requests for information and/or clarification regarding the Bid documents shall be submitted in writing via e-mail to Thomas Connolly, Buyer/Planner,Purchasing, tjconnolly@capousd.org. All requests must be submitted no later than Tuesday, February 18,2025, 1:00PM. Any request made after such date shall not be responded to. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code, and be licensed to perform the work called for in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder must possess a valid and active Class C-13 license as required at the time of award and throughout the duration of this Contract. The Contractor's California State License number shall be clearly stated on the bidder's proposal. Holding an additional Classification of C- 60Welding is preferred. Each bid must strictly conform with and be responsive to the Contract Documents as defined in the General Conditions. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. Question Deadline 02/18/2025 at 1:00 PM PT Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00), payable to DISTRICT as a guarantee that the bidder, if its proposal is accepted, shall promptly execute the Agreement form, furnish separate and satisfactory Faithful Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of ONEHUNDRED TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND ($125,000.00), and furnish certificates evidencing that the required insurance is in effect in the amounts set forth in the general conditions. In the event of failure to enter the contract and execute the required documents, such bid security shall be forfeited.
