Renovation of a detention facility in Carrollton, Georgia. Working plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The County desires to integrate the existing functional and compliant interior and exterior surveillance cameras with new components and unify cameras and access control for selected doors within the facility. The overall goal is a security system that integrates video surveillance and access control into a single, unified platform, which County can operate and maintain at the Carroll County Correctional Institute. As of November 7, 2025, this project is in the process of getting ready to bid. An architect has been selected. A firm timeline for construction has not been confirmed.
