The Work to be performed consists of all labor, materials, equipment and all incidentals for the landscape and irrigation maintenance for the Project. No bid received after the time and date will be considered. Each bid must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check or a Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent of the base bid as a guarantee that the Bidder will not withdraw from the competition after the opening of the bids, and if awarded the contract, he will, within 10 consecutive calendar days after Notice of Award having been given, enter into a written contract with the OWNER, in accordance with the accepted bid. Should the successful Bidder fail to enter into the contract, the Cashier's Check or the Bid Bond shall be forfeited as liquidated damages. Failure to attend may preclude a proposer from responding to this Request for Proposals. No bidder may withdraw for a period of 60 days after the date set for opening the bids. Bids shall be submitted with one original on bid forms furnished as part of the specifications, extra copies of which are available at the office of the DISTRICT ENGINEER.
