Cardillo & Son Inc, with an awarded amount of $876,730.25 .** construction of the 2025 Water Main Improvements, Crystal Street and Circuit Street The work of this contract generally consists of the construction of new water main in the City of Melrose. Approximately 1,700 linear feet of 8-inch diameter ductile iron water main shall be installed on Crystal Street and Circuit Street. Additive Alternate A generally includes an additional 200 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main to be installed on Circuit Street. All water mains shall be furnished and installed with associated valves, fittings, and hydrants. Temporary bypass piping shall be used during the construction of the water main where specified herein. All service connections are to be completed after the water main successfully passes the pressure testing and chlorination procedures. There will be no pre-bid conference held for this work All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to the City of Melrose via email, Attn: Jennifer Rosa at jrosa@ CityofMelrose.org no later than February 27, 2025, at 4:00 PM. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Total Bid Price. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner, the City of Melrose. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept any bid, to waive any informality on bids received, to omit any item or items deemed advisable for the best interests of the Owner or to limit the extent of the Work to keep within the limits of available funds.
