The City of Topeka is seeking bids for the 2024 Citywide 50/50 Sidewalk Program. The program is a shared expense program between the City and property owners. It includes constructing new sidewalks, ramps, curb and gutter, and pavement at various locations throughout the City of Topeka. The City intends to enter into a written agreement with multiple contractors as described herein. The City of Topeka is accepting bids to remove and replace defective public sidewalks throughout the city limits. The City intends to enter into a written agreement with multiple contractors submitting pricing for the work described in these specifications. The work to be accomplished under this contract includes but not limited to constructing new sidewalks at variouslocations as constituents make requestsfor repair. All efforts are made by City staff to bundle requests within sections of the community to augment work efficiency before the repair locations are delivered to the contractor. CONTRACT TIME. All work required on each location listed on the work order, must be complete and ready for final acceptance/payment within 30 calendar days of the receipt of the work order. Existing sidewalks, curb or pavement shall not be removed unless replacement will follow within 3 calendar days. Additional days for inclement weather may be granted at the discretion of the Project Engineer. CONTRACT TERMS. The term of these resulting contracts shall be from March 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025, inclusive of the unit pricing being held firm for the term of each contract.
