The City of South Sioux City is accepting sealed bids for asphalt replacement of one basketball court at Covington Park and the installation of a new basketball court at Baumer Park. Scope of Work: Covington Park is located at 501 W. 4th Street, South Sioux City, NE. The city will be responsible for tearing out the existing court and creating the foundation area. The bidder will be responsible for installing rock and 3" asphalt court surface measuring 45' x 90' court with a 12" subgrade prep. Baumer Park is located at 900 E. 25th Street, South Sioux City, NE. The bidder will be responsible for installing a new court with rock and 3" asphalt court surface measuring 45' x 90' with a 12" subgrade prep. All contractors who intend to bid the project must inform the South Sioux City Parks Director Gene Maft at gmaft@southsiouxcity.org or call 402-494-7540. Completed bids will include pricing for each park marked as Covington and Baumer that includes the following costs: (1) Mobilization, (2) 12" Subgrade preparation, (3) 3" Rock, (4) Asphalt surface 45'x90' (5) Total each park, (6) Total both parks combined and (7) Construction completion date. Bid bond of 5% is required and must be submitted with the bid.
