Reference Number 0000375922 The City of Inkster invites qualified General Contractors to submit bids for the rehabilitation of the former Inkster Library building 2005 Inkster Road, Inkster, Michigan 48141. This project involves the comprehensive renovation of the existing structure to transform it into a vibrant community cultural center. Scope of Work (may include, but not limited to): Structural Rehabilitation: Repair and reinforce existing structural elements. Address any structural deficiencies identified in engineering reports. Building Envelope Improvements: Replace or repair windows and doors. Improve insulation and air sealing to enhance energy efficiency. Repair or replace roofing. Interior Renovations: Create flexible spaces for: Art galleries and exhibition areas Performance spaces (theater, music, dance) Community meeting rooms and classrooms Multi-purpose rooms Kitchen and catering facilities (if applicable) Update all interior finishes (walls, floors, ceilings). Install new lighting and electrical systems. Upgrade HVAC and plumbing systems. Install ADA-compliant features throughout the building. Failure of any accepted Bidder to enter into a contract for the work will cause forfeit of this bid security. After contracts for the work have been signed, all bid securities will be returned. 100% Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond will be required on the project. Costs of bonds, if so required, shall be included in the Base Proposal.
