The City is actively pursuing grant funding from various sources to assist with the project funding and the award of this bid will be contingent on the receipt of sufficient grant dollars. The award may be canceled if sufficient funding is not secured. Liquidated Damages 1000 The Base Bid Work includes the following major items: a. Installation and maintenance of sediment and erosion and stormwater control measures in preparation for abatement, cleanup, and demolition activities. b. Deactivation, disconnection, and capping of utilities or confirmation thereof. c. Removal of Universal Waste and other hazardous/regulated building wastes. d. Dewatering and applicable discharge permits for the lowest parking level, Chiller Plant tanks, and potential groundwater the building demolition process and associated excavation. e. Demolition of Chiller Plant as clean waste. f. Interior abatement of asbestos and PCB-containing wastes and associated contaminated building wastes within the Data Center. g. Excavation of PCB-contaminated soil and concrete/asphalt pavement driveway areas around the perimeter of the building. h. Exterior abatement of asbestos-containing spray-applied fireproofing insulation behind precast concrete paneling. i. Abate, demolish, and dispose of the following building components as PCB Bulk Product Waste (=50 parts per million (ppm)): 1) Precast concrete façade panels 2) Roof systems 3) Exterior concrete/stone stairs 4) Concrete floors from Service Level to the Penthouse. j. Remove for scrap all non-hazardous metal building components and other metal materials on the property. k. Remove and dispose/recycle non-hazardous site debris, piping, equipment, and refuse as general construction debris. l. Crushing/processing clean concrete and use as structural backfill.
