Renovation of an educational facility in Gadsden, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and 15,380-square-foot educational facility.

This project consists of replacements of the specific roofs to include, removal of existing modified bitumen roof system, asphalt roof shingles with all flashings, trims, accessories, gutters, and downspout and installation of a new modified bitumen roof system with R25 tapered insulation, architectural roof shingles, new flashings and trim, accessories, gutter, and downspouts. Approximately 15,380 SF. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Alabama Community College System in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. PRE-QUALIFICATION PROCEDURE: Only General Contractors, Roofing Contractors, and Mechanical Contractors who have been approved to bid pursuant to pre-qualification procedures and criteria established by the Owner will be eligible to bid for the Project. Any person or firm wishing to apply for pre-qualification may obtain a copy of the Owner's Pre-Qualification Application Requirements from the Architect. Applications for pre- qualification must be received by the Architect by 5:00 PM on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2025, after which no further applications will be considered. The Owner will complete the pre-qualification process and name the general contractors who are approved to bid the Project by 12:00 PM NOON on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2025. The Owner reserves the right to modify or abandon this pre-qualification process at any time prior to its completion should the interests of the Owner appear to be promoted thereby. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgement, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
