Lead Service Line Replacement Proposed construction improvements include the replacement of existing lead water service lines on both the public and private sides of the right-of-way as detailed in the Plans and Specifications. Any contract or contracts awarded under this invitation for bids are expected to be funded in part by a loan from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Illinois EPA). Neither the State of Illinois nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees is or will be a party to this invitation for bids or any resulting contract. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set for in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
