The project is expected to be awarded on March 10,2025.** carpet removal and VCT tile installation located at Pittsburg High School, 1978 West 4th St, Pittsburg, Kansas 66762. Remove approximately 6,341 square feet of existing carpeting and related base. Install the same quantities of VCT and base in the existing classrooms. Material Specifications: The VCT will be Armstrong Standard Excelon Imperial Texture #51904 Sterling. The adhesive will be Armstrong S-515 thin spread. The base will be 4 inch Tarkett TA4 Gateway. The transitions will be metal base tracks with the appropriate snap-in transition to match the base color. The installer will be responsible for all measurements and quantities of the listed materials. Preparation: Once the existing carpet is removed, the installer will remove any adhesive residue so that no ridges or puddles are evident and only a thin, smooth film remains. The floor will be patched as needed using a polymer-modified patch compound. All flooring material and adhesives must be at room temperature for a minimum of 48 hours before installation. The installer will verify that all VCT tiles of each color are from the same lot before installation. Installation: Spread adhesive and install VCT per Armstrong Flooring's specifications. Cleanup: The installer will be responsible for the cleanup and removal from the site of all existing carpet and related installation materials. Shelf stock: The Installer will supply USD 250 with 3 cases of Armstrong Standard Excelon Imperial Texture #51904 Sterling (from the same lot number as the installed tile). Project Time for Completion: The project may begin as early as May 26, 2025, and be finished no later than August 1, 2025
