The Navajo Division of Transportation (Navajo DOT) is soliciting proposals to construct "N5001(1)1,2&4 Road Improvement Project in Toadlena/Two Grey Hills, NM". The proposed work consists of grading and roadway excavation; placement of aggregate base course and double chip seal pavement; installation of drainage structures, bridges (two total), precast concrete box culverts, fencing, cattleguards, gates, signs, striping, concrete barrier, guardrail, waterline and other miscellaneous work as called for in the design plans and specifications for this 4.481 km (2.78 mile) roadway project located in Toadlena/Two Grey Hills, NM, San Juan County, Navajo Nation. The Navajo Nation Business Opportunity Act and Navajo Preference Act shall apply to this project. Prospective bidders are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these provisions. Having preference does not guarantee the award of the project. Competitive Sealed Proposals under the Navajo Nation Business Opportunity Act shall be utilized in the selection of the Contractor. The Navajo DOT will complete the following: - Mark the archaeological zones and monitor the sites during the active construction - - Provide construction management/oversight during construction. Provide independent assurance materials testing as necessary.
